WELCOME TO SHERRI'S KITTY REHAB AND THE CRITTER CRADLE ANIMAL SANCTUARY - (417) 859 - 2481
WE ARE CURRENTLY FULL AND CANNOT ACCEPT ANY KITTIES RIGHT NOW
In Loving memory of Alissa Scott, Critter Cradle Animal Sanctuary, Inc. May you rest in peace with all your animal angels in heaven, we love and miss you.
Hello, my name is Sherri Hall. I am a native of Seattle, Washington and am now living in Missouri. I have been married to Eddie since 1995. I have 3 children and two grandsons. Since as long as I can remember, I have taken in and rehabilitated felines when they are abused and neglected. My passion for helping God's creatures got a boost when I wed Eddie and moved on 5 mostly wooded acres North of Marshfield. I run my kitty sanctuary by myself and often spend 8-10 hours per day tending to their needs. God has sent me several angels to help with the bills that go along with doing such work for which I am eternally grateful. "Paying it forward" is not just a saying but my life's philosophy.
Primarily a Sanctuary for injured, disabled & abused cats, however with the over population in the shelters in our area we have taken in many unwanted souls that would be simply discarded because it was inconvienent for their owners. We have also found ourselves comforting a few dogs, rabbits and a few birds. So goes life at the Critter Cradle. We are a no kill sanctuary with a 501c3 status.
I was born in the Summer a few years ago.
Quite why I was born, I'll never know.
Some folk who owned my mother, decided to breed.
No reason I know of except for their greed;
I know I was hungry, I know I was cold;
They sold me quite early at just five weeks old.
My number one owners seemed friendly at first,
And life was quite good till my bubble burst;
They started to argue, their marriage split up;
And in the AD: "For Sale - 4 months old pup".
Some folk arrived, the next ones in line.
They treated me kind and life was just fine.
But Master dropped dead, and she couldn't cope.
So she sold me again (I'll soon give up hope).
I now had a new home right up in the sky;
We went up in the lift fourteen floors high!
The new folk were kind but they left me all day;
I was bursting to wee and had nowhere to play.
It was boredom, I think, when I chewed up the chair;
They agreed I should go as it just wasn't fair.
The next home was good and I thought "this is it"!
They started to show and I won....well, a bit.
Then somebody told them that I had no bone.
And in went the AD: "For Sale...to a good home".
The next lot were dreadful, they wanted a guard;
But I didn't know how, although I tried hard.
One night they got burgled and I didn't bark;
Tied up in that shed and alone in the dark.
For four months I lay in that cold and dark shed;
With only an old paper sack for a bed.
A small dish of water all slimy and green;
The state I was in, well, it had to be seen!
I longed for destruction, and an end to the pain;
But some new people came and I went off again.
Well now I'm with Rescue and this home is good;
There's walks in the country and lots of good food;
There's kisses and cuddles to great me each day;
But I dread the time they will send me away.
But for now here I stand, skin and bone on all four;
PLEASE......don't let "ME" happen to any of yours!!

Why you should spay and neuter your pet
By making sure that your pet can't have puppies or kittens, you'll have peace of mind that his or her offspring won't be euthanized in an animal shelter.
Many people are surprised to learn that nationwide more than 3 million cats and dogs are euthanized in shelters. You might think that these are animals born in the streets or there is something "wrong" with them. But often they are the offspring of cherished family pets, even purebreds. Maybe someone's dog or cat got out just that one time or maybe the litter was intentional, but efforts to find enough good homes failed.
Our 'Forever Home' section is now open thanks to Petfinder.com™.
Critter Cradle Animal Sanctuary is a place where abused, neglected and the elderly comes to live out their life.
Every once in a while we will get a pet in that we are able to rehabilitate to be able to get a 'Forever Home', these pets do not come with an adoption fee. We only ask that you donate from your heart to help out and pay it forward.
I do not have all the kitties listed so if you are looking for something in particular please feel free to call or email me. All of the PUREBRED cats we get in here are not advertised on Petfinder. You can call or email to inquire about the Purebred kitties we get in.
